In the period April-May 2018, within the project“Reducing the negative impact of violence and abuse towards children and improving access to psycho-social and legal services”with the support of UNICEF Moldova, children – beneficiaries of the Assistance and Protection Center and children – beneficiaries of the Community Day Centers for children and young people participated in numerous cultural and curative reset activities, carried out with the participation specialists of the National Center for Training, Assistance, Counseling and Education from Moldova (AO “CNFACEM”). The activities started in the premises of the “Cosmos”, “Sparta” and “Satelit” Centers in the municipality of Chisinau.
The activities included cooperative and board games, manual occupations: drawing, collages, technique of using materials (beads, fabrics), paper applications, exhibitions, watching educational films, computer games and outdoors, sports activities, contests, etc.
The activities created a common platform for cooperation and exchange of experience for professionals in the application of new knowledge in the development of social skills in children – the skills of concentration, listening, communication and interaction, self-respect and confidence in one’s own strength, confidence in other people, etc.
The activities carried out have identified such needs as: promoting the principles of a child-friendly school; developing a network of community services; ensuring the child’s access to quality medical and social services at the local level; increasing the professionalism of human resources in the social system; strengthening the monitoring, evaluation and supervision capacity at all levels of the child and family protection system; development of the psychological service in educational institutions; promoting through the mass media the educational offer of the technical and cultural circles within the Community Centers, etc.
