During the meeting, topics related to the implementation of policies to prevent and combat TFU in the Republic of Moldova, the difficulties in identifying and documenting victims and potential victims of TFU, the prevention of domestic TFU, which were presented by Mrs. Ecaterina Berejan, Head of the Permanent Secretariat of the NC CTFU.
The support services provided by the Center for Assistance and Protection of Victims and Potential Victims of Trafficking in Human Beings (CAP) was reported by the social worker representative of CAP Ms. Valentina Seuța who also presented the mechanism for referring victims to these services by EMT.
Present at the event Ms. Catană Tatiana, lawyer, presented the report on the analysis of legislative and institutional barriers in documenting people in difficulty.
The participants in the meeting discussed in detail the organizational aspects in the implementation of the national campaign,,The week of fighting against human trafficking,which is to be initiated during the period16-22 October this year.
