On October 10, the second regional meeting took place in Soroca with the generic“Exchange of best practices in the field of preventing and combating human trafficking,organized with the support of the Permanent Secretariat of the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking in partnership with the OSCE Mission in Moldova.
The event was attended by anti-trafficking experts, CT presidents and secretaries, territorial multidisciplinary team (EMT) coordinators, medical workers, education, police officers, as well as representatives of NGOs from the districts: Soroca, Florești, Șoldănești, Dondușeni, Ocnița and Drochia.
The Center for Assistance and Protection of Victims and Potential Victims of Trafficking in Human Beings(Center) participated in the event represented by the social worker Mrs. Valentina Seuța, who informed the specialists present about the support services provided by the Center, the functioning of the victim referral mechanism, the method of accessing the services needed by each individual beneficiary.
The members of the territorial commissions and all the participants in the event mentioned the difficulties encountered in identifying and documenting victims and potential victims of TFU, increased attention was paid to begging, especially to begging among children, on these subjects the good practices of European countries were proposed and analyzed, a good example being Romania, which during the meeting organized in Alba-Iulia, effective solutions were proposed that could be applicable to our country.
